Seasons
This is the debut album by Brazilian guitarist and composer Andre Correa, a graduate of Berklee College of Music. The record features seven original tracks that reflect his life in Boston—a period marked by artistic, spiritual, and emotional growth. The work blends contemporary jazz with Brazilian music, featuring open harmonies, melodic lyricism, and intentional improvisation. It is not a technical album: it is narrative. Each track is a chapter that conveys memories, conflicts, discoveries, and life turning points. Recorded with musicians who were part of this journey, Seasons reveals an honest, mature, and sensitive musicality.
First Step — A step of faith that led to the move to Boston. Fear, courage, and expectations in the same rhythm.
Sonhos (Dreams) — A reinterpretation of a dream lived twice: first in marriage and then at Berklee, showing that dreams transform and mature over the course of life.
Slow It Down — The frantic pace of the first semester at Berklee. The song marks the moment when it was necessary to slow down to understand, listen, and grow.
Surpresa no Caminho — Unexpected events that arise without warning and demand creative solutions—both in life and in improvisation.
Randy — A tribute to Professor Randy Roos, a key figure in André’s artistic refinement.
Solitude — Mature solitude: not sadness, but the awareness of a cycle ending and preparing for new phases.
Mudança de Planos — When the plan was to go to New York, but destiny led to Orlando. A difficult decision, guided by faith and transformation.
