Detailed Bio
Andre Correa is a Brazilian guitarist, composer, and music educator whose work emerges from the dialogue between contemporary jazz and the expressiveness of Brazilian music. He holds a degree in Guitar Performance from Berklee College of Music in Boston (USA), where he received honors such as the John Abercrombie Scholarship and the Guitar Department Achievement Award, and developed a musical language that values improvisation, lyricism, creative freedom, and deep artistic intention.
Born in Valinhos (Brazil) and raised in Campinas, Andre began his musical journey at the age of eight, learning keyboard with his father. He picked up the guitar at twelve and soon started playing in Christian communities. In that environment, constant practice, collaboration, and a sense of purpose shaped both his musical ear and his artistic posture. More than technique, he learned early on to play with intention — understanding music as service, communication, and expression of identity.
In Brazil, he immersed himself in Brazilian popular music and jazz, exploring the dialogue between these worlds, influenced by artists such as Djavan, Milton Nascimento, Wayne Shorter, and Hermeto Pascoal. Before moving to the United States, he released original singles such as Eterno, For Norman, and Mousiké, marking the beginning of his path as a composer.
At Berklee, he studied with musicians such as Randy Roos, Sheryl Bailey, John Patitucci, Nate Radley, and Danilo Pérez, and became part of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, participating in performances and social projects that brings music to hospitals, recovery centers, and community initiatives. During this period, he chose to pause his solo career to fully dedicate himself to artistic, academic, and human development. He also worked as a guitarist on three productions by Grammy-winning producer Matt Rollings.
His original work explores maturity, sensitivity, faith, displacement, surprise, longing, and transformation. For Andre, music is a place of truth: it is not enough to reproduce formulas — one must express who they are. This vision is also present in his work as an educator, where he developed the FCA methodology (Foundation, Connection, and Application), aimed at forming guitarists with fluency, identity, and artistic autonomy.
After graduating, he resumed his original output with the instrumental album Seasons (2025), which brings together compositions written throughout his years in Boston and reflects his artistic, personal, and spiritual growth. In 2026, he deepens his narrative approach with the single Histórias, a solo guitar piece that explores how a single truth changes as it is told and reinterpreted over time.
Andre currently lives in Orlando, Florida, where he works as a solo artist, musical director, and educator, including his role as Band Director at Pine Castle Christian Academy. His music remains deeply connected to Brazilian roots while open to the world, seeking art as a sincere language — made to communicate, move through, heal, and transform.

About Histórias
Histórias* is an instrumental single that blends elements of baião and fusion into a narrative structure, where the music unfolds as a sequence of voices, versions, and transformations of the same idea.
The composition is based on the concept of how stories change as they are told — like a game of “telephone” — passing through different emotional states, tensions, and distortions, until returning to a point of clarity.
The piece grows and shrinks in density, dynamics, and intensity, moving through moments of restlessness, conflict, and enthusiasm, and concludes with a cleaner, more affirmative ending — as a reaffirmation of the essence behind all versions of the same story.
*"Histórias" is a Portuguese word that means "Stories" in English.
In Histórias, Andre explores:
Musical narrative without words
Multiple “voices” emerging from a single theme
The relationship between noise, interpretation, and truth
The emotional transformation of an idea over time
The fusion between Brazilian musical language and contemporary instrumental aesthetics
The work invites the listener to create their own interpretation — each person hears a different story within the same music.
