Detailed Bio
Andre Correa is a Brazilian guitarist and composer whose music arises from the dialogue between contemporary jazz and the expressiveness of Brazilian culture. A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston (USA), where he received awards such as the John Abercrombie Scholarship and the Guitar Achievement Award, he developed a language that values improvisation, lyricism, creative freedom, and artistic intentionality.
Born in Valinhos (SP) and raised in Campinas, Andre began his contact with music at age 8, learning keyboard from his father. He picked up the guitar at 12, along with his first experiences playing in Christian communities. In this environment, constant practice, collaboration, and a sense of purpose shaped his listening skills and artistic approach. More than technique, he learned to play with intention, serving through music.
In Brazil, he immersed himself in Brazilian popular music, jazz, and the dialogues between these worlds, influenced by Djavan, Milton Nascimento, Wayne Shorter, and Hermeto Pascoal. At Berklee, he studied with names like Randy Roos, Sheryl Bailey, John Patitucci, Nate Radley, and Danilo Pérez, in addition to being part of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, where he participated in performances and social actions using music in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and community projects. He also recorded as a guitarist on three productions by Grammy-winning producer Matt Rollings.
His original work reflects themes such as maturity, sensitivity, faith, surprise, longing, and change. For Andre, music is a place of truth: it's not enough to reproduce formulas—it's necessary to express who you are. This vision is also present in his work as an educator, in which he developed the FCA (Foundation, Connection, and Application) methodology, aimed at training authentic guitarists capable of imbuing their own voice into the guitar.
His first album, Seasons, brings together seven original tracks that record his journey living in Boston, studying at Berklee, and undergoing personal and spiritual transformations. It's a story told through music: chapters translated into rhythms, timbres, melodies, and improvisations that reveal the passage of time—like seasons that shape who we are.
Currently, Andre lives in Orlando, Florida, working as a solo artist, musical director, and educator. His work remains connected to his Brazilian roots, but open to the world, seeking music as a sincere language, made to communicate, transform, and mature.

Album Release
Seasons is the debut album by Brazilian guitarist and composer Andre Correa, a graduate of Berklee College of Music. The album features seven original tracks that portray his experiences in Boston — a period marked by artistic, spiritual, and emotional growth. The work blends contemporary jazz with Brazilian music, featuring open harmonies, melodic lyricism, and intentional improvisation. It's not a technical album: it's narrative. Each track is a chapter that translates memories, conflicts, discoveries, and life-changing moments. Recorded with musicians who were part of this process, Seasons reveals an honest, mature, and sensitive musicality.
Sonhos — A reinterpretation of a dream lived twice: first at the wedding and then at Berklee, showing that dreams transform and mature throughout life.
First Step — An act of faith that led to the move to Boston. Fear, courage, and expectations in the same rhythm.
Slow It Down — The frenetic pace of the first semester at Berklee. Music marks the moment when it was necessary to slow down in order to understand, listen, and grow.
Surpres no Caminho — Unexpected events that arise without warning and demand creative solutions — both in life and in improvisation.
Randy — A tribute to Professor Randy Roos, a fundamental figure in Andre's artistic development.
Solitude — Mature solitude: not sadness, but the awareness of a cycle ending and preparation for new phases.
Mudança de Planos — The plan was to go to New York, but destiny took us to Orlando. A difficult decision, guided by faith and transformation.
